Hi, I’m Sara.

As a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, I see you both as an individual and as a part of many working systems, forceful dynamics and challenging and strengthening circumstances. In our work, we will become well acquainted with your internal and external worlds through self-inventory, storytelling of the past and present, and a sharing of hopes for the future. From that place, we can work to shift from self-blame and criticism to curiosity and understanding.

If you feel distant from community and care, and if you often feel caught up in the demands of life— and struggle to access joy, peace, and ease— you aren’t alone. I work with my clients to find a home that is safe within themselves, regardless of how the world around them shows up. I also help my clients better equip themselves to make decisions around radical change and/or radical acceptance. If you’re an over-thinker or you feel a sense of paralysis around how to get to where you want to go, I can help you get closer to the deeper beliefs and feelings that can ultimately release you from being stuck.

The value of focused attention, reflective listening and curious response— for even an hour a week— is immense. How often can adults, in these modern times, really count on another person to give 55 minutes of uninterrupted time? You may find that you often ask for the opportunity, but it’s not given. Or that you don’t know how to ask, and lose the opportunity.

In a safe space with me, you may be able to find what you’ve been looking for - in yourself, and in others. I offer a free 15-minute phone consultation to potential clients as a way to determine if we may be a good fit. Contact me if you want to learn more about how we might work together.
